Tony Awards 2021: Complete list of winners and nominees

The 74th Tony Awards were held on Sunday evening and recognized the best achievements of the 2019-2020 season Broadway season. The ceremony was originally scheduled for June 7, 2020, but has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the closed Broadway for a year and a half.

The show had a unique format starting with an awards show hosted by singer and actress Audra McDonald and streamed on Parent +. The ceremony was followed by the live concert event “The Tony Awards Present: Broadway’s Back!” Hosted by Leslie Odom Jr. and broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount +.

The last three awards, Best Play, Best Revival of a Play and Best Musical, were presented during the Primetime Special.

“Jagged Little Pill”, the musical with songs and music by Alanis Morissette, received the most nominations with 15, including for the best musical. “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” followed closely at 14 and won the grand prize for best musical.
